Riverbed Stingray Traffic Manager VMware vSphere 4 Performance on Cisco Unified Computing System

This white paper examines performance figures obtained by the Riverbed® StingrayT Traffic Manager Virtual Appliance (VA) running on VMware vSphere 4.0, which was installed on the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS). It also outlines the methods used to make the determination and compares those figures with an earlier set of tests run on a previous generation of Intel Xeon processors. This comparison shows the higher peak results achieved by this solution, and its ability to more efficiently handle a larger number of virtual machines.
